NORTON, VA – Wanda Kay Strange,74, departed this earthly world for a far better home Wednesday May 27, 2026.

Wanda was a Christian of the Freewill Baptist faith. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is now with Him in paradise. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Wanda worked for over 20 years as a nurse, beginning as a CNA

and eventually becoming an RN. She spent 19 of those years at Heritage Hall in Wise, VA. Wanda loved the outdoors as long as she was able, she loved playing Bingo and watching game shows and cooking shows on

television. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and

great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Rufus "Bug" Strange, Jr; her parents Richard "Bee" and Goldie (Potter) Mullins; her brother

Thurman Mullins and a sister Jolene Short.

Survivors include her sons Tim Strange and wife Tammy-Pound, VA, Randy Scott Strange-Norton, VA and Michael David Strange-Norton, VA; grandchildren Timothy Michael Strange, Aleander Maness, Kirsten Strange,

Michael Gavin Strang, Ben Whitt and Tamara Whitt; four great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Rayola Walker-Fredericksburg, VA, Peggy Beverly-Palatka, FL, Tammy Mullins-Danville, WV, Janet Sturgill, Wise, VA, Catherine Ison-Norton, VA, Regina Mullins-South Dakota and Fayetta Sturgill-Palatka, FL; brothers Billy

Ray Mullins-Pound, VA, Dennis Mullins-Duffield, VA and John Mullins-Pinnacle, NC; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Celebration of life services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Monday June 1, 2026 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Strange leading. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday June 2, 2026, in the Strange/Campbell Cemetery on Bold Camp Road in Pound, VA where Wanda will be laid to rest beside her husband "Bug". Tim Strange, Randy Strange, Mike Strange, Ryan Hobbs, and Anthony Vanover will serve as pallbearers.
