Trillis Harold
Mullins
Jun 21, 1958 — Jun 13, 2025
Pound, VA
POUND, VA – Trillis Harold Mullins, 87, entered peacefully into eternity Friday June 13, 2025 from his residence. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Trillis Harold was a Christian of the Old Regular Baptist faith. In May of
2024 sitting at his bedside with his son Monty, he accepted his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and asked him to come into his life. He was a retired coal miner with nearly 40 years of experience. He was a proud member of the United Mine Workers of America. His coworkers called him "Poppy' and he was always watching out for "his boys". He felt like it was his responsibility to take care of them. He married the love of his life, Blanche Mullins, on June 21, 1958 and they shared life's adventures, good or bad, together ever since. Trillis Harold believed in working to provide for his family. He was an avid outdoorsman …enjoying gardening, fishing and hunting, especially going coon hunting. Trillis Harold loved his family with all his heart ...but those grandbabies, well that was a whole other level of love and
spoiling, being "Pap" to them was everything.
Trillis Harold was preceded in death by his parents Elder Trinkle and Ida (Cantrell) Mullins and lifelong friend, Clyde Mullins.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years Blanche Mullins-Pound,
VA; his sons Harold Wayne Mullins and wife Becky-Bealeton, VA and
Monty Mullins and wife Susan- Pound, VA; grandchildren, Matthew
Wayne Mullins-Bealeton, VA, Hannah Grace Perrigan and husband Dustin- Wise, VA and Olivia Faith Mullins- Pound, VA ; great-grandchild Lennon Grace Perrigan; brothers Roger Lee Mullins and wife June-Pound, VA and Mack Van Mullins and wife Anna-Pound, VA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.
Many thanks and prayers to Brenda Cantrell and Brandy Lucas for taking such great care of "Pap".
