Obituary

POUND, VA – Ricky Van Mullins, "Ricky Rat", 72 entered peacefully into eternity Wednesday March 19, 2025 from his residence. His daughter Kimberly and granddaughter Britney were by his side.

Ricky was of the Baptist faith, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends reminiscing about the good old days. He was humble, kind-hearted and always had a story to share...and don't get us started about his love for Casper…he truly had a special place in his heart for it. Ricky was a former underground coal miner and heavy equipment operator, he worked hard to provide for his family. Ricky enjoyed working on heavy equipment and spending time in the garage, tinkering with vehicles and machinery. He had a love for gambling as well as watching western and horror movies.

Ricky was preceded in death by his wife Linda Kay Mullins; his parents Lenville and Ella (Bray) Mullins; his sisters Patsy Shortt, Margie Shortt and Sandra Dee Mullins; his brothers Jerry Neal Mullins, Giles Mullins

and Lenville Mullins, Jr.; special friends, Rad Mullins and Wendell Phillips.
