Rhonda Ann Mullins

WHITESBURG, TN – Rhonda Ann Mullins, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday august 21, 2025 at her home in Whitesburg, TN, surrounded by her loving family.

   Rhonda was born November 18, 1954 in Norton , VA to Vester and Alfonta Damron.Rhonda worked for the Hamblin County School system until she retired. She loved going to and having yard sales, going to flea markets, and any kind of good bargain. She enjoyed spending time with her loving and devoted husband, James, as well as her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. Along with her special family, Jamie and Tom Cooper, Joanne Outland, Mindy Pennell and Richard Wherle.

  In addition to her parents, Rhonda is preceded in death by her brother Danny Verrnon Damron, and a beloved grandson she loved with all her Heart, James Patrick Craig Mullins. A special sister-in-law Victoria Gail Mullins, a special brother-in-law Franklin Mullins, and a very special lady she loved like a mother, Sherline Singleton Vanover.

   Rhonda is survived by her husband and best friend of 55 years, James Mullins, her four children, James Mullins, Jr. (Heather) of Bealeton, VA, Brenda Mullins Yates Dennis Mullins and Melissa Mullins of Whitesburg, TN, sister Brenda Carol Mullins Damron of South Whitley, IN and brother Gary Steven Damron of Larwill, IN. Eight grandchildren. Eleven grand- children. Along with nieces and nephews she loved dearly and a slew of she handpicked herself throughout the years.

   Memorial services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Saturday August 22, 2026, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until time of services.

   Graveside committal serves will follow at the Levi Cantrell Cemetery-Pound, VA.
