NICHOLASVILLE, KY – Polly Arlene Wright Vanover Bittrich, 88, formerly of Jenkins, KY.

Our precious Momma gained her heavenly wings on March 25, 2025 and went to Heaven to rejoice with her mother, father, brothers, sisters and two husbands that left this world before her. She will be so missed by so many people whose lives she touched while on this earth. Polly was a long-standing member of the McRoberts Old Regular Baptist Church, where she attended regularly until she was physically unable to do so. She was an avid member of the White

Shrine and the Eastern Star. Polly was a second Mom to so many beautiful souls. Polly was a dedicated homemaker, a substitute teacher for Letcher County Schools. She was a jack of all trades. Polly was an avid reader, she loved playing pinochle, she enjoyed music, particularly Celtic Thunder, she loved talking to people, especially phone calls to her brothers and sisters. She loved cooking, especially green beans and corn bread. Polly cherished the time she spent with her kids and grandkids, who called her Mamaw Polly.

Polly was preceded in death by her parents, James Lewis and Leona (Craft) Wright; her first husband Danny Vanover; her

second husband Joseph Bittrich; her sisters Jimie Kaye Adkins, Margaret Adams and Janie Bright; and her brothers Thomas Gene

Wright, and Jesse W. Wright.
