PIKEVILLE, KY – Pamela Gail Collier, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 12, 2026. She was surrounded her loving family.

Born on January 14, 1950 in Elkhorn City, KY, Pamela lived a beautiful life, defined by love, generosity, intelligence and grace.

Pamela was preceded in death by her beloved parents Goldia June (Hackney) Childers and Victor Emmanuel Childers, as well as her brother Rodney Dale Childers.

She is survived by her devoted husband Bayard Vincent Collier; her daughters Rebecca Lyn Bartley and Caitlin Victoria Berniece Collier; and her cherished granddaughter Courtney Charlize Roberts. She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Lola and Frankie, who brought her endless joy and companionship.

Pamela dedicated many years of her life as the former director of Model City Daycare, where she touched the lives of countless children and families with her kindness, patience and nurturing spirit. A proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, she remained a lifelong and passionate fan of Kentucky basketball, cheering faithfully for the Wildcats through every season.

Pamela found happiness in life's simple pleasures- cooking delicious meals for those who loved, sharing laughter with family and friends, and creating a welcoming home wherever she was. She was known for her ever-present smile, her classy and elegant nature, her sharp mind, and her extraordinary generosity. Pamela had a way of making everyone feel special, valued and loved.

Though her family's hearts are heavy with loss, they celebrate a life

beautifully lived and a woman who gave so much of herself to others. Pamela's legacy of love, strength, warmth and joy will continue to live on through all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
