POUND, VA – Myrtle Beatrice "Bea" Hensley VanHuss, 94, entered into her eternal home on January 16, 2026 from Norton Community Hospital.
Bea was born on May 16th, 1931, the oldest of 15 children to the late Walter and Mary Rose (Jarrett) Hensley.
Bea was a dedicated homemaker, she took pride in caring for her family, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grand-mother. She was a born again Christian and attended Hope Freewill Baptist Church until her health no longer allowed.
Along with her parents Bea was preceded in death by her husband Palmer Van Huss; her son-in-law Jimmy Brock; her daughter-in-law
Jackie Van Huss; sisters Annabelle, Betty, Lois, and Debbie; brothers Walter "Buster", Ronnie, Larry and Gary.
Bea is survived by her daughter Brenda Brock-Eolia, KY; her sons Robert VanHuss-Pound, VA and Eugene VanHuss and wife Missy-Pound, VA; 6 grandchildren Craig VanHuss and wife Sharon-Pound, VA, Brandon VanHuss and wife Penny-Mt. Carmel, TN, Tessa Lovern and husband Roland-Norton, VA, Bobbi Cavalier and husband Willie-
Wise, VA, Kane VanHuss and wife Randee-Pound, VA and Katie Jacobs and husband Tom-Wise, VA; 11 great-grandchildren Emma VanHuss, Sarah VanHuss, Isabella VanHuss, Abigail VanHuss, Lillyanne Branson, Aubree VanHuss, Gracie Jacobs, Christopher Branson, Colton Jacobs, Kase VanHuss and Bailey Jacobs; sisters Mary Jo Hubbard-Stevensville, MD, Claudia McGrevey-Manassas, VA, Sue Edwards-Manassas, VA, Linda Justice-Louisville, KY and Margaret Mendez-
San Antonio, TX; brother Bobby Hensley-Kearneysville, WV; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of friends and
love ones.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday January 18, 2026, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Terry Price officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of services.
Burial and committal services will follow in the Dewey Memorial Cemetery-Pound, VA where Craig VanHuss, Brandon VanHuss, Kane
VanHuss, Thomas Jacobs, Tony VanHuss and Dakota VanHuss will serve as pallbearers and Roland Lovern will be an honorary pallbearer.
Baker Funeral Home-Pound, VA is serving the family of Myrtle Beatrice VanHuss.
