POUND, VA – Mickey Hollyfield. 63, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday August 6, 2025, at his home.

Mickey was born on January 13,1962 to the late Kendall and Phyllis (Vanover) Hollyfield in Pound, VA. He was of the Baptist faith. Mickey was an excellent Pitcher for the Pound Wildcats Baseball team in his high school years. Mickey was a truck driver before his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to go fishing, camping and four wheeling. You more than likely would catch him watching Tik-Tok on his phone or watching one of the many television shows that he liked. Mickey loved being with his family…especially the grandkids.

In addition to his parents, Mickey is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Nicole Dotson; a grandson, Austin Dotson and a sister, Angela Hollyfield.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Robin Hollyfield- Pound, VA; sons, Mickey "Gillet" Hollyfield (Misty)- Pound, VA and Jason Hollyfield (Jaqueline)- Big Stone Gap, VA; grandchildren, Isabell Richardson (Brandon) , Owen Dotson (Sunny) and Ashleanna (Tinkerbell) Hollyfield; great grandchildren, Remmington Mickles, Gracelynn Richardson and one on the way in March 2026; sisters, Sherry Hensley-KY, Vicky Austin- KY. and Michelle Baker- Clintwood, VA; brothers, Rodney Hollyfield (Kim)- Wise, VA, Ricky Hollyfield (Evon)-Coeburn, VA, Johnny Hollyfield- Pound, VA and Anthony Hollyfield (Billie)- KY; his fur babies, Baby Girl and Squirt; several nieces, nephews, aunts,uncles and cousins and a host of friends and loved ones. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday August 9, 2025, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of services.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Baker Funeral Home towards Mickey's funeral expenses.
