POUND, VA – Mary Jane Bond, 70, passed away Monday June 16, 2025 at Norton Community Hospital. Her loving family was at her side.

Mary was of the Christian faith. She was a devoted homemaker and loved caring for her family. Her kids and grandkids were her life. Mary enjoyed a lot of the smaller pleasures in life, reading her Bible, taking

walks, gardening and listening to K-Love radio were just a few of them. Things you can't buy with money, but you do with your heart.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Harrison and Mary (Muncy) Maggard; her granddaughter Lilly Belle Brace; a sister Helen Robinette; brothers Thomas Maggard, Fred Maggard, Claude Maggard, Lester

Maggard and 2 infant siblings.

Survivors include her son Joshua Bond-Pound, VA; her daughters Amy Alexander and husband Shilo-Wise, VA and Anna Salyers-Coeburn, VA and Destiny Parrigan and companion Jeffrey Brace-Pound, VA; grandchild Lana Jane Brace-Pound, VA, Cassidy Sullivan-Florida, James Blair and

wife Jordan-Johnson City, TN, Madison Wolle-Coeburn, VA, Clayton "Turtle" Clark and wife Kaylee-Coeburn, VA, Hayley Clark-Coeburn, VA, Cassie Porter-Coeburn, VA and baby Ellie Brace due in August; great-grandchildren Khamaria Clark and Hunter Clark-Coeburn, VA; sister Ellen Stipes-Norton, VA, Evelyn Maggard-Norton, VA and Geraldine Ferry-Knoxville, TN; brother Ernest Lee Maggard-Florida; bonus daughters  Jessica Rose-Coeburn, VA and Patricia Triplett-Wise, VA; bonus sister Lynn Maggard-Norton, VA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; a host of friends and loved ones; and her beloved dogs Baby (Shih Tzu) and Yoda (Chihuahua).

Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM Thursday, June 19, 2025 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Stallard officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of services.
