KINGSPORT, TN – Margaret Denise Taylor, 62, departed this world on Saturday June 20, 2026, from the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. her loving sister Lockwood and nephew James were by

her side.

Margaret was of the Baptist and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She attended church regularly and read her Bible faithfully. Margaret grew up in Norton, VA and eventually settled in Kingsport, TN. Margaret worked for several years as an operator for several regional call centers. Although she had no children of her own, she loved her nieces, nephews and great

nieces and nephews as though they were her children. Margaret was kind hearted and generous, she would give you her last dime if you needed it. She will be greatly missed.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Noah Taylor and Nellie Potter Taylor; and her special brother-in-law Dan Hall.

Survivors include her beloved sister Lockwood Hall-Lynchburg, VA; her brother Nicky Douglas Taylor, Sr.-Blacksburg, VA; nephews James Michael Hall and Nicky Douglas Taylor, Jr; niece Hailei Taylor; several

great nieces and great nephew; special friend Christina Holbrook-Baxter, KY; and a host of friends and loved ones.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday July 25, 2026 at the Maranatha Baptist Temple at 665 Vale Road., Gate City, VA with Pastor Samuel Rose officiating.
