POUND, VA - Linda Beverly Wampler, 66, passed away unexpectedly July 21, 2026 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Her family was at her bedside.

Linda was a Christian of the Freewill Baptist faith. She graduated from the nursing program at Lincoln Memorial University in 1994 and was a registered nurse. She worked until health issues prevented her from doing so. Linda enjoyed crocheting, watching cooking shows and cooking. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and was an avid AC/DC fan. Linda had became somewhat of a homebody, her favorite pastime was enjoying her family and loving on her cat "Tiggy".

Linda was preceded in death by her husband James Dennis Wampler; her parents Dayton and Virginia (De Board) Boggs; sisters Frances Boggs and Hester Boggs; brothers Roy Boggs, Jerrry Lynn Boggs, Thomas David Boggs, William Boggs, Harold Boggs, and Clyde Warren Boggs.

She is survived by her son James Dayton Wampler and fiancé Breanna Lane-Pound, Va; sister Paula Boyd-Pound, VA; brothers Tracy Boggs and wife Lois-Kingsport, TN, Jeff Boggs and wife Darlene-Pound, VA and  Danny Boggs and wife Rosanna-Pound, VA; grandchildren Ashliegh Max  Wampler Boone (Simon)-Pound, VA and Alexis Beverly Mullins (Mason)-Wise, VA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Linda will be cremated and there will be no public services at this time. There will be a celebration of life service at a later date.
