Obituary

POUND, VA- Linda Lou Osborne,75, lovingly known as Mam to her family, passed away on Saturday August the 23rd 2025, at Holston Valley Hospital after a long illness.

She loved to shop, especially to buy shoes that she would leave in her car for a year before ever wearing. And she loved eating grilled cheese and tomato basil soup from Applebee's. She enjoyed camping

at the Breaks and fishing. Linda NEVER knew a stranger. She was funny, caring, and so full of life. She would help anyone if at all possible.

She was preceded in death by her father  Hugh Markum; mother June Taylor; sisters, Lillie "Bug" Boggs and Carol Sue Mullins and stepson William Osborne.

Survivors include husband of 30 years, Charles Osborne -Pound, VA; sons, Benny Bray (Tina) Pound VA, Shane Bray (Jennifer) Kingsport TN, stepson Jeffrey Osborne (Donna) Pound VA, stepdaughters Rebecca

Short-Pound, VA and Melinda Stanley (Billy)- Pound VA. grandchildren, Lucas Bray, Tyler Bray(Cary) and Samantha Bevins (Justin); great grandchildren, Sailer Bray, Liberty Bray, Lincoln Bentley and Annie Bevins and other grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Tayler (Karen); and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Nelva Hall, Tammy Sturgill, Denise Strouth and Katrina Powers; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Tuesday August 26, 2025, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until time of services.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday August 27, 2025, at the Osborne Family Cemetery on Lantern Road in Pound, VA where Benny Bray, Shane Bray, Tyler Bray, Jeff Osborne, Billy Stanley, Josh Stanley, Justin Bevins and Isaiah Short will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 am to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery.

The staff of Baker Funeral Home- Pound, VA, are in charge of arrangements and extend our sincere sympathies to the family of Linda Lou Osborne.
