Obituary

POUND, VA- Judy Ann (Ashbrook) Mullins, 79, passed away Sunday January 19, 2025, in the comfort of her home after a long illness. Her family was by her side.

Judy was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother and sister. Judy loved to travel and just getting out and going places when she could. She was a proud member of the Big Blue Nation…Go Wildcats! Loved listening to Elvis, she also enjoyed playing bingo and going out to eat. But being with her family was her greatest joy.

Judy was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband that cared for her until his death on October 19, 2024, James

"Joe" Mullins; her parents, Vince and Violet (Webb) Ashbrook; brothers, Delmer Ashbrook and Daniel Ashbrook; sisters, Patsy Fields and Denna Webb.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer "Jen" Adams- Neon, KY/Pound, VA; a son, Greg" Guido" Mullins- Norton, VA;

grandchildren, Makayla Adams, Joseph Adams and Grace Adams; a great- grandchild, Hadley Atkins and several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ballad Hospice for their kindness and care, especially to Torie and Brooklynn, also to her social worker, Emma and to Chaplin Helen for all the prayers and songs.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Friday January 24, 2025 in the Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Polly officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday January 25, 2025 at the Levi Cantrell Cemetery- Pound, VA where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:00 am to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery.

The staff of Baker Funeral Home- Pound, VA are in charge of arrangements and extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Judy
