Obituary

EOLIA, KY- Judy Ann (Lewis) Collier, 72, passed away peacefully with

her family by her side at the Hazard ARH on Sunday February 2, 2025.

Judy was a woman of many names, Jute, Mildred, Ole Lady, Uncle Judy,

Caregiver, Mom, Sista and her favorite title of all Mama

Judy enjoyed smoking ciggys, drinking coffee, yard sales, thrifting, PBR, watching motorcross racing, Gunsmoke and NASCAR, eating peanut butter n' crackers, going Black Friday shopping, she was an avid reader with Louie Lamour being one of her favorites, being part of the Big Blue Nation watching the Kentucky Wildcats basketball and listening to George Straight. If it could be cooked Judy could cook it (especially with lard). If it was pioneer women…she had it. If it was a trip…she would take it. Jute will be missed dearly by

her family and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Ruby (Maggard) Lewis; three sisters, Jean Brock, Cora Lee Sturgill and Ruth Church and one brother, Myrel Lewis.

Survivors include her husband Douglas Collier- Eolia, KY; children Alan (Pauline) Engle- Frankfort, KY, Amy Fint- Frankfort, KY and Kevin (Cindy) Engle- Clintwood, VA; seven grandchildren, Tyler Sizemore, Daleigh Engle, Isaiah Mullins (Meckenzie), Hannah Engle (Landon), Emma Fint (Tacoma), Hunter Engle (Marissa), Gavin Fint and one great grandchild Percy Mullins with one on the way; 2 sisters Carol Rayburn and Becky Frerichs; 6 brothers Lowell T . Lewis, James F. Lewis, Joey Lewis, Lester Lewis, Jack Lewis and Chester Lewis; a host of friends and loved ones; and her two kitty cats.

Per her wishes she will be cremated.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday February 5, 2025 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a reflection of Judy's life with stories told by her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of service.

A family dinner and gathering will be held following the services at Judy's home in Eolia. All are welcome to attend.
