POUND, VA – Joshua Christopher Mitchell, 48, passed away Tuesday May 20, 2025 at his home. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Joshua was of the Christian faith, he was a loving father, brother and uncle. Joshua loved playing with his kids and all kids. He loved playing video games, painting by numbers, playing solitaire and games on his phone. Joshua enjoyed fishing, looking for deals at thrift shops, searching through scrap for unexpected treasures, reading and just

relaxing. He loved a good cup of coffee, and if he found one he could drink a whole pot. But his greatest love was his daughters.

Joshua was preceded in death by his mother Janet F. Hernandez and his step father, the man who raised him Roy Dale Miller, Sr.

Survivors include his daughters Mackienze Storie, Candace Storie and Bridget Mitchell, all of Pilot Knob, MO; his ex-wife and the mother of his daughters Catherine Mitchell-Pilot Knob, MO; his sisters Josette Sturgill and husband Mickeal-Pound, VA and Susan Johnson and husband Jim-Annapolis, MO; his brothers Jonathan Timothy Christopher Miller and wife Jessica-Pound, VA and Roy Dale Miller, Jr. and wife Christy-Pacific, MO; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.

The family has chosen cremation and there will be no public services.
