JESSE RAY COLLINS

POUND, VA- Jesser Ray Collins went home to be with the lord Tuesday November 3, 2026.

Jesse gave his heart to the lord at an early age. He attended the clear creek bible college in Pineville, KY. Jesse was a lifelong evangelist. He preached regularly on the street corners in Pound for years. He attended several area churches and was a member of the first Baptist church of Pound. He sought to preserve conservative principles and values upholding a love for biblical truth. Faith was a passion for Jesse. Jesse was blessed with a generous spirit and an open door for anyone in need. He had a compassionate nature and was quick to give praise to everyone.

Jesse was preceded in death by his Parents Sherman and Hannah Collins; his Sisters Mary Sue Crabtree, Loretta Mullins, and Helen Jayce McClain; brothers David Collins, Allen Collins, Bobby Collins, and Gary Collins.

Survivors include his sisters Edrie Kay Stidham (Royce), Sherry Bowes (Don) and Carolyn Baker (Jeff); a brother Scott Crabtree (Rebecca); nephew Mark Mullins (Amanda); niece Bobby Jo Mullins (Tommy); and a host of friends and loved ones to cherish his memory.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm Saturday November 7, 2026, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Sunday November 8, 2026, in the Orvin Stallard Cemetery on right fork road in Pound, VA where friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:00 pm to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery.
