WISE, VA – Harold Edward Stallard, 85, entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Saturday February 21, 2026 from his residence. His loving wife, Martha, son Les and daughter-in-law Sherry were by his side.

Harold was of the Christian faith, he loved his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed caring for his loved ones. Harold was a retired surface miner having worked many years as a heavy equipment operator. After his retirement he enjoyed farming, gardening and building and remodeling homes. Harold was an accomplished woodworker, he enjoyed and was skilled at making cabinets and furniture. He had the patience and perseverance that was necessary to complete his projects. Harold treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents William Britton and Lavina Mae (Harkleroad) Stallard; his son Harold Edward Satallard II; his brother Herskel Stallard; brother-in-law Jack Barker and step-daughter Deneen Smith.

Survivors include his loving wife Martha Sue Moore-Wise, VA; his son Les Stallard and wife Sherry-Pound, VA; daughters Melody Woods and husband Phillip-Knoxville, TN, and Gina Gangway and husband Tim-Sylvania ,OH; his grandchildren Matt Gangway (Erin), T J Gangway, Shannon Booth  (Ben), Katie (Erik) Bolling, Lori Turner, Jenna (Daniel) Jordan, Josh Stallard (Katie), Jake Woods (Lexi) and Dustin Woods; a sister Leota Barker-Wise, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.

In keeping with Harold's wishes the family has chosen cremation and there will be no public services.
