POUND, VA – Gregory Frank Dotson, 66, passed away peacefully Monday December 2, 2024 at his residence.

Greg was a former train derailment clean up crewman and truck driver. He liked to play poker and spend time with his children and grandchildren. Greg was an avid trump supporter. Prior to health issues he enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time at the lake. But most of all he enjoyed watching his grandson Breandan , who was his pride and joy, grow up and make memories.

Greg was preceded in death his paternal grandparents Noah and Edith Dotson; his paternal grandparents Ashley Stanley and Ellen Kelly; special nephew and best friend David Barnett and nephew Andrew Barnett

Survivors include his parents Frank and Eleanor Dotson-Pound, VA; a son Deckie Dotson; his daughters Nicole Mullins and husband Gabe-Harpers Ferry ,WV and Amber Vanover and husband Justin-Wise, VA ; grandchildren Breandan Mullins and Noah Vanover; sisters Ronnie Rose and husband Bobby-Pound, VA, Pat Tompkins and husband Vernon-Pound, VA (who took extra special care of him), and Janet Phillips-Kingston, TN; a brother Dale Dotson and wife Janie-Norton, VA; several nieces and nephews and special nephews Keith Eglin, Kevin Smith, Alex Barnett and Austin Barnett.

As per Greg's request he will be cremated and memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday December 6, 2024 in the Baker Funeral home Chapel with Reverend Greg Cyphers and Elder Stacy Potter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until time of services.
