POUND, VA- Glenda Sue Wright, "Nana" 81, passed peacefully into eternity Wednesday April 22, 2026 from the Ballad Health Hospice House in Bristol, TN.

Glenda was of the Christian faith and attended the Pound Presbyterian

Church. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,sister, aunt and friend. Glenda was lifelong homemaker, she took great pride in caring for her family. She was most content when she was taking care of others. Nana loved to cook, and you could tell that by all the delicious meals she prepared. Cooking wasn't the end of it, she loved to eat as well, she enjoyed food and all the happiness it could bring. She enjoyed working in the garden and canning and preserving all the fresh produce she raised. Glenda loved life, she enjoyed travelling especially to visit her family. She loved to swim and would dive right in, sometime when you weren't expecting her to. She liked to relax and watch soap operas, The Young and The Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful were two of her favorites. She was a diehard Elvis Presley fan, she loved his music, his concerts, his movies, anything Elvis. She could shop with the best of them, Marshalls was one of her favorites. Nana had a big place in her heart for her dogs and cats through the years, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Lona (Adams) Reynolds; her second Mom, Beulah Reynolds, second husband Larry Wright; an infant son, Justin Wyrick Wright; a sister Marceline Maier; brothers Infant Bobby Reynolds, Teddy Sowards and Sheldon Reynolds.

Survivors include her daughters Ginger Shortt and companion Scott Hall and Kelly Jackson; her grandchildren Sidney Krug (Ian) Mackenzy Mullins (Isreal), Savannah Chester and Haley Falin; great-grandchildren Abagail Chester, Lilyana Crawford, Adisynne Jackson, Skylar Falin, Nik Chester, Penelope Mullins, Eryn Falin, Emeryson Mullins, Lucille Sue Mullins and Stetson Krug; sisters Bernice Potter and Mildred Nygren; brothers Farrell Sowards (Mary), Ronnie Reynolds (Sharon), Danny Reynolds (Joanne), Bernard Reynolds (Carrie "Pete") and Joe Reynolds (Jannit); her first husband and father of her children, Jerald Shortt several nieces, nephew and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday April 26, 2026 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until time of services.

Burial will follow in the Bolling Cemetery behind Baker Funeral Home where Isaiah Reynolds, Maddox Reynolds, Ian Krug, Israel Mullins, Bart Reynolds and Finley Jackson will serve as pallbearers.
