POUND, VA- Gladys (Church) Hubbard, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday June 28, 2024 from Heritage Hall- Big Stone Gap, VA.

Gladys was a Christian and a member of Independent Baptist Church-Pound, VA and attended Flat Gap Missionary Baptist Church. Most people will remember her sweet smile and humble personality when

she worked at Pound Hardware as a salesclerk for many years. She enjoyed cooking, keeping an extremely clean house, spending long hours in her garden to can it and give it to others, reading her daily

Bible verses and listening to gospel music.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Ray Hubbard;

her parents, Trigg and May (Hampton) Church; a sister, Lydia Back; brothers, Ted Ray Church and Tazz Church and granddaughter, Tracie Lee McClain.

Survivors include her son Tracy Allen Church and wife Edna Katherine-Wise, VA; great-grandchildren, Halie McClain and Kayla Church both of Coeburn, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday June 30, 2024 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy

Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of services .

Burial will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery-Wise, VA. where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
