POUND, VA- George "James" Richard Micha, 77, entered
into heaven on August 30, 2024.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and
Lorraine (Napp) Micha; his son, Brandon Micha; one brother,
Marty Micha and two sisters.
James was born October 24,1946 in Houston, Texas. He was a
United States Army Veteran having severed three tours of duty in
Vietnam. After his discharge he traveled to many different places.
He started several businesses from carpentry to plumbing. He
was a jack of all trades being able to do a little of everything. He
was a private investigator in Louisiana for many years before
moving to Virginia. He loved the water and frequently talked about
his many fishing trips he took when was younger. Most of all he
loved Jesus and his church family. Even though the last few years
of his life he suffered with dementia …he never forgot about his
love for God and Jesus and talked about them daily. He is finally
home and resting with the one he wanted to see the most…Jesus.
Survivors include his partner of 22 years Ella Meade-Pound, VA;
one daughter, Kimberly Williams of Florida; a grandson, Dylan; a
granddaughter, Breanna and special caregiver, Brandi Meade-
Pound, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Tuesday September
3, 2024 at the Beverly Hills Assembly of God Church-Wise, VA
with Pastor Greg Bowman officiating. The family will receive
friends from 5:00 pm until time of services.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday
September 4, 2024 at the Arvil Short Cemetery- Pound, VA where
Mac Sluss, Jimmy Webb, Robert Perrigan, Ricky Kennedy and
Bennie Meade will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are
asked to meet at Baker Funeral Home by 10:00 am to prepare to
go in procession to the cemetery.
The staff at Baker Funeral Home extends our deepest sympathy
to the family of George "James" Richard Micha.
