CLINTWOOD, VA – Freddie Large, 70, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024

at his home. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Freddie was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired heavy equipment operator,

having worked many years in the coal industry. He believed in working to provide

for his family. Freddie loved to raise a garden and then can everything they could.

He enjoyed fishing, but his favorite pastime was probably front porch sitting. Just

enjoying good company. Freddie liked to travel and loved road trips. He was always

ready to go. He loved to try new places to eat. His greatest joy was spending time

with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Rita Jo (Hale) Large;

his daughter Lenay (Large) Peaks; his daughter-in-law Sylvia (Mullins)Large;

a brother Gary Wayne Large; and a sister Linda Gillard.

Surviviors include his loving wife of 50 years, Angela (Mullins) Large-Clintwood,

VA; his daughter Rhauletta Large Bunch and husband Bradley-Lonoke, AR; his sons Michael Paul Large and wife Chrissy-Coeburn, VA, Jerrid Large and wife Jessica-

Oakwood, VA, Joey Large and wife Cindy-Duffield, VA and Rayan Large-Clintwood,

VA; son-in-law Russell Peaks-Pound,VA; grandchildren Jordan Martin (Jasmine), Kelsey Shah (Jigar), Kendra Phillps

(Lee), Bethany Risola (Ryan), Tracie Phillips (Logan), Marley Bunch, Keyton Hamilton, Jerricah Large, Sopha Peaks (Teonna), Aaron Peaks, Brayden Peaks(Patience), Cainnan Peaks, Gabby Large (Hunter) and Skylar Large, and Breanna Fleming and husband Devin; great-grandchildren Kai Martin, Oakleigh Martin, Kaylee Belle Franks, Zaylin Risola, Nelli Risola, Zeke Risola, Gabe Risola, Julian Risola, Bryson Fleming, Kenzleigh

Fleming, Braelynn Peaks and Babby Fred on the way; sisters Joyce Yates (Roger)-

Haysi, VA, Thelma Coomer (Wayne)-Winchester, VA, Juanita Mullins (Ottis)-

Wise, VA; and Fenniey Large Baker-Ohio; brothers Ronnie large (Tammy)-Pound,

VA, Kevin Large (Regina)-Coeburn, VA, Robbie Large (Judy)-Big Stone Gap, VA,

Billy Large (Sherry)-Pound, VA; J C Large (Erika)-Indiana, Danny Large-Clintwood,

VA and Dale Large-Ohio; special granddaughter and caregiver Gabby Large; special sister and nurse Fenniey Large Baker; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Chigger Mullins, James Ray Baker and John Phillips; and a host of friends

and loved ones.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:30 PM Sunday November 24, 2024, in

the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Carter officiating. The family

will receive friends from 2:30 PM until time of services.

A private burial will follow at a later date family.
