Eugene Branham

   POUND, VA – Eugene Branham, 80, entered his eternal reward Thursday August 20, 2026, from Norton Community Hospital. His loving family was at his side.

   Eugene was born April 4, 1946, in Pike County, KY. He was of the Christian faith. He attended Charlies Chapel Church]- Coeburn, VA. Eugene was a retired brick mason, he spent years building a respected life rooted in hard work and dedication. A master craftsman by trade, he worked as a dedicated brick mason for 50 + years. His strong hands and keen eye shaped many structures, he took immense pride in every wall he laid, knowing it would stand the test of time. Beyond his work, Eugene was a devoted husband, father, grand- father, great-grandfather and friend who built his family with the same patience and care he gave his work. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He also loved watching westerns.

   Eugene was preceded in death by his parents Burly and Roxie (Strouth) Branham; a daughter Deborah Branham; sisters Betty Hall and Patricia Tunnell; brothers Buster Branham, Rufus Branham, Julius Branham and Joe Branham

   Survivors include his wife of 24 years Janice Branham-Pound, VA; his daughters Donna Branham-West Virginia and Trenna Wright (Bo)-Duffield, VA; his sons Russell Branham (Brenda)-Pound, VA, Stuart Branham-Wise, VA, Rodney Powers (Jen)-Gate City, VA and Randall Powers (Sarah)-Abingdon, VA; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother Buford Branham-Wise, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends David “Dabo” Mullins and Richard Mullins; and a host of friends and loved ones.

   Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Monday August 24, 2026, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Mullins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services.

   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Janice to help with expenses
