Edmond Ralph Hubbard

   POUND, VA- Edmond Ralph Hubbard, 80, passed away Tuesday

September 8, 2026, at Norton Community Hospital. His loving wife

was at his side.

   Ralph was of the Old Regular Baptist faith. He was known for his

strong work ethic, love of fishing and dedication to his family. Ralph

was a welder by trade and was well known for his attention to detail

and metal crafting ability. He worked many years at the Rock Quarry

in Jenkins, KY. When he wasn’t working, he loved fishing, whether it

was at his cabin in Tennessee, on a trip to Florida or in the closest creek,

river or lake he could get to. Ralph loved the outdoors and all types of

animals from cats and dogs to deer and bears. He found great peace in

going to his cabin and just sitting on the porch and listening to the river.

He enjoyed yardwork, especially mowing with his tractor. Ralph was a

hard worker who enjoyed the real things in life like family and the

outdoors.

   Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Willard Francis and Lillie

Victoria (Bolling) Hubbard; his sisters Ruby Ambro, Ruth Meade, June

Ellis, Anita Marshall, Hattie Mullins and 2 infant sisters; his brothers

James Hubbard and Howard Hubbard; and brother-in-law George Ellis.

   Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years Nancy (Green) Hubbard-

Pound, VA; his sons Brian Hubbard and wife Amanda-Pound, VA and

Kevin Hubbard and wife Alicia-Bluff City, TN; his grandchildren Wesley

Tyler Hubbard-Urbana IL, Abigail D. Hubbard-Chattanooga, TN and

Zachary Alexander Hubbard and wife Maddie-Bluff City, TN; great-

grandchild Elliana Hubbard and one due in January Bear Hubbard;

several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend Ray Boggs-Georgia;

and a host of friends and loved ones.

   As per Ralph’s wishes, he will be cremated and all services will be

private.

   Baker Funeral Home-Pound, VA is serving the family of Edmond

Ralph Hubbard.
