Obituary

WISE, VA- Earsie Jane (Mullins) Crabtree, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday January 20, 2025, from her residence.

Her loving family was by her side.

Earsie was a Christian of Old Regular Baptist faith and attended Long Fork Church as long as she was physically able. Earsie loved her family and spending as much time as she could with them. Cooking for them and the family gatherings was something she always looked forward to doing…she would cook enough so everyone had a plate or two to take home. She enjoyed quilting,

sewing, crocheting, going on short trips close to home, taking care of her flowers, working her garden and canning as much as possible

for the coming year and to give to friends and family. She also had a place in her heart for her dogs Blondie, Bella, Winston and Toby  that gave her so much love and company.

Earsie is preceded in death by her husband John B. Crabtree; a son, Demas Lee "Brother" Crabtree; her parents, Marion and Carrie

Mullins; sisters, Dallice Hale, Elsie Mullins, Loretta Privett, Dorsie "Tootsie" Dotson and Helen Crabtree; brothers, Lloyd Mullins, John "Bubby" Mullins, Troy Mullins and Burley Mullins.

Survivors include her son, Dean Crabtree-Wise, VA; special granddaughter and caregiver Holly Thompson (David); grand-

children, Jacob Crabtree (Liz), Johnny Crabtree, Nathan Crabtree, Audrie "Sis" Billingsley, and Justin Wallen; great grandchildren, Cheyenne Smallwood, Jaycee Crabtree and Elyana Ramey; daughter-

in-law Kathy Crabtree; several nieces, nephews and cousins; her church family; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm Saturday January 25, 2025 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Willie

Cantrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until time of services.

Burial will follow in the Wise Cemetery- Wise, VA where Earsiewill be laid to rest beside her beloved husband John B. Crabtree.Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The staff of Baker Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements and

extends our sincere sympathies to the family of Earsie Jane Mullins Crabtree.
