POUND, VA- Curtis Eugene Collins, 79, passed from this life on Friday February 7, 2025.
Curtis was born March 1, 1945 in Norton, VA to the late Cicero and Mozella (Hammonds) Collins. He was a creative and talented man who could fix just about anything. He loved to hear, sing and play Bluegrass Gospel music on his guitar and he passed his talents down to his children and grandchildren, who also loved to sing and play instruments. Curtis loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor, he was just so much fun to be around. But his greatest love was his family, they were his pride and joy. Nothing made him happier than spending time with them all. After retiring from years of being a mechanic and small engine repairman.
He spent his final precious years living with his daughter at her home enjoying the company of his family. Curtis was a lifelong
Democrat, but was proud to cast his first Republican vote for President Donald J. Trump. He loved watching the news , game-
shows and Gunsmoke. Curtis was simple man who lived a simple life, but a full and content life. He leaves behind many beautiful memories for his family and friends to cherish. While we grievously mourn the loss of our dear Dad, Papaw, Tataw and husband to our Mom, we know this is not goodbye, but we will see you in the morning,
Dad, in a land where we will never grow old.
