WISE, VA.- Brandy Michelle Morgan, 44, passed away Sunday July 12, 2026.

Brandy was born March 10, 1982, in Norton VA to Ben Morgan and the late Mary Frankie (Kilgore) Lawson. She was of the Christian

faith and loved her Lord.

To know Brandy was to know a person of profound warmth, humor and resilience. She was fiercely loyal friend and a competitor,

she loved basketball and played all the way through school; she even played with the kids in her neighborhood recently. And she

could never stand to be beaten, even if it was a game of HORSE. Brandy loved living at the lake, she loved kayaking, riding a

pontoon, campfires and spending time with her friends and family. She could light up any room with her infectious laughter

and bright smile.

Brandy fought her own demons, as we all have, but it never erased her deep capacity to love, her intelligence or her kind heart. She gave away far more things than she kept for herself. We are grateful for the joy and love we shared with Brandy.

In addition to her mother Frankie and stepfather Jack Lawson, Brandy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Earl Lewis and Edell (Potter) Morgan and maternal grandparents, Shade Vance and Ethel Kilgore; her brother Preston Dingus; and her nephew Jordan Barnette.

Survivors include her son, Chance Morgan- Pound, VA; her father, Ben Morgan and step-mother Sherry- Pound, VA; brothers, Todd Barnette (Crystal)- Big Stone Gap, VA, Ted Barnette (Karen)- Wise, VA and Brandon Dingus-Pound, VA; nieces, Ashley McGraw, Jessica Adrian, Jade Leonard and Brie Dingus; nephews, Triston Barnette, Bryson Dingus and Gavin Dingus; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Josh Mowell, Tammy Smith and Talicia Jackson; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Wednesday July 15, 2026, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Stacy Potter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Thursday July 16, 2026, at the Dingus-Mullins-Morgan Cemetery on Bold Camp Road in Pound, VA where Jordan Fleming, Justin Morgan, Jake Morgan, Logan Collins, Tristen Barnette, Brandon Dingus and Bryson Dingus will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:00 am to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery.
