Obituary

POUND, VA – Betty Taylor, 85, passed away Saturday November 1, 2025, at her residence. Her loving family was at her side.

Betty was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was an avid reader, (mostly reading paperback novels) but also liked the National Enquirer and other magazines. Betty loved going shopping (didn't matter if she needed anything or not according to Gary), she also liked to color and watch anything on TV. But her greatest joy was taking care of her family

and the time she spent with her family that she loved so very much.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Lorene Mullins; her daughter, Edwina Taylor; her son, Shane Taylor; a sister, Nancy Sue Mullins; and a brother, Walter Jack Mullins.

Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 61 years Gary Taylor-Pound, VA; her sons Shawn Taylor and wife Elizabeth-Pound, VA, Mike Mullins and Debbie-Kansas; her daughter Peggy Mullins-Florida; her

grandchildren Emma Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Kayle Taylor, Cody Taylor, Brandon Mullins, Crystal Hughes, Chaney Blue Mullins, Kenneth Mullins, Shane Mullins and Ashton Martin; her great-grandchildren Courtney Hughes, Katy Hughes, Jackson Taylor, Ashton Mullins, Maddie Mullins, Adriana Mullins, Evelyn Taylor and Julianna Taylor; her sister Judy Marksberry and husband Marvin-Indiana; her brothers Roger Dale Mullins-Indiana and Curtis Ray Mullins-Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Wednesday November 5, 2025, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of

services.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00am Thursday November 6, 2025, at the Dotson Cemetery on Highland Avenue in Pound, VA where Shawn Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Ashton Martin, Brandon Mullins, Dominick Aslin, and Cody Taylor will serve as pallbearers.
