Obituary

MOORESBURG, TN- Bendall Neal Phillips Sr.,68, entered into his eternal

reward on Monday April 8, 2025 from his residence. Bendall was born January

16, 1957,to the late Rev. Ray George and Beaulah (Bowman) Phillips in Norton,

VA.

Bendall was a born again Christian, he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

with his whole heart.. Bendall read and studied his Bible daily. He was a retired

coal miner with over 25 of experience. He enjoyed being outdoors…going

fishing and hunting along with making and painting fishing lures were som of  his favorite hobbies. He loved to spend time at

his camper on Cherokee Lake even before he bought his new place and moved to Mooresburg. Bendall was an excellent cook, he loved cooking and baking, especially cakes and candy, then sharing it with his neighbors and family. But mostly being with his family, especially his children and those extra special grandchildren that he loved dearly and was so proud of is was what he looked forward to the most.

In addition to his parents, Bendall is preceded in death by an infant grandson

Jadon Lee; his sister Nina Carol (Phillips) Jones; his brothers, Perry Ray Phillips

Sr. and Jerry Dale Phillips and wife Helena and brother-in-law Sydney Hensley

Survivors include his daughter, Monacca Phillips (Issac Peters)-Roanoke, VA; sons, Neal Phillips (Evette)-Bassett, VA and Zack Phillips-Pound, VA; grandchildren, Lauryn "Peanut" Phillips, Hannah Peters, Sophia Peters and Jocelyn Frasier; sisters, Karen Bowman-Pound, VA and Ilene Sturgill (Darrell)-Wise, VA and Janie Hensley-Johnson City, TN; brother, Kendall Phillips (Carrie)-

Wise, VA; sister-in-law Retta Phillips-Weber City, VA; brother-in-law Laymond

"Headeache" Jones-Pound, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special

friends Randy Tim "Dud" Mullins, Troy Stidham, Kenny Smith. and Greg

Cyphers, his neighbors John and Beata  and Jack and Beth; and a host of friends

and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Thursday April 10, 2025 in

the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Denver Winebarger and

Reverend Greg Cyphers officiating. The family will receive friends from  5:00 pm until time of services.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday April 11, 2025

at Mt. Zion Cemetery-Pound, VA. where family and friends will serve as

pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at Baker Funeral Home by 10:00 am

for a final viewing and to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery.
