EOLIA, KY – Barbara Faye (Parsons) Hampton, 86, entered peacefully into eternity Wednesday April 29, 2026 from the Whitesburg ARH Hospital after an extended illness. Her beloved family was at her side.

Barbara was a Christian of the Baptist faith and loved her Lord and Savior. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She always said she was blessed to be able to be

a stay-at- home wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, canning, working in her flower beds, sitting on the porch for hours talking to

family and friends and  working word search books. She so enjoyed looking through cookbooks…making so many delicious meals in

her life time for her family. Barbara just liked the simple way of living and being a homemaker and taking pride in what she did. Now when it came to her granddaughter… Kayla was her pride

and joy and could do no wrong in Granny Barb's eyes. Barbara loved spoiling her and didn't care who knew it. They shared a special relationship that lasted until the very end,  and Granny Barb

will forever live in Kayla's heart.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Lowell Hampton; her parents, Linville and Ethel Parsons; a sister, Joyce Parsons; brothers, Linville Ray Parsons and Larry Parsons.

Survivors include her beloved son Greg Hampton and daughter-in-law Tammy-Eolia, Ky; her granddaughter Kayla Hampton- Eolia, Ky; sister, Wanda McKnight- Eolia, KY; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends and loved ones to mourn her passing and cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Saturday May 2, 2026 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Troy Belcher  officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Sunday May 3, 2026 at the J D Maggard Cemetery at the intersection of State Route

932 and Pine Mountain Road in Eolia, KY where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at Baker Funeral Home by 11:00 am to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery.
