CASTLEWOOD, VA- Andy Sexton, 79, passed away on Saturday December 6, 2025, from his residence with his loving

wife and family by his bedside.

Andy was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Andy enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing,

turtle hunting and walking the hills looking for ginseng. When he had to be indoors he like to watch old westerns on tv with his dog

Lucy (a collie-cocker) by his side. Andy cherished the time he spent with his family and will be truly missed.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents Lacey and Doris (Brown) Sexton; his son James Allen Sexton; his grandson Jeffrey

Hamilton; infant sisters Ruby Sexton, Netty Sexton, Betty Sexton, Rosie Sexton; sisters Anna Cooke, Bessie Chapman, Stella Diets

and Ruth Sexton; brothers Roy Sexton, James Sexton, Emmitt Sexton, and Bob Sexton.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Sherry (Estep) Sexton-Castlewood; his daughters Carol Shields and husband Michael

"Bony" and Robin Holmes and husband Patrick-Castlewood, VA; son Wayne Sexton-Castlewood, VA and Bobby McMurray (Shian)-Wise, VA; Rose Kiser and Kraig (Anthony)- Clinchco, VA; grandchildren, Taylor Shields, Tyler Shields, Jon Shields, Michael Shields, Cody Shields, Jenny Sexton, Johnny Sexton and Luther Sexton; great-grandchildren Summer Shields, Scarlett Shields, Jaquelyn Shields, Caroline Shields, Jackson Shields, Jenson Shields, Tyson Shields, Scarlett Sexton, and Haven Sexton; sisters Ona Helbert-Castlewood, VA, Jean Cooke-North Carolina, Barbara Goodman-Tennessee and Nellie Sexton-Tennessee; brother Lee Mac Sexton (Ella) Coeburn, VA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday December 9, 2025, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Dee Dee Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until time of services.

Coeburn VFW Post 8652 will perform military honors at Baker Funeral Home immediately following the funeral services.
