GREENVILLE, S.C. – Adam C. VanHuss, 42, passed away unexpectedly Thursday March 26, 2026, at his residence.

Adam was born September 4, 1983, in Wise, VA. He was of the Christian faith was baptized at the Promise Land Church in Clintwood, VA. Adam was a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry and loved his job. He loved riding motorcycles of all kinds, he enjoyed riding street bikes, but his passion was dirt bikes and riding motorcross. Adam also loved fishing and hunting, he enjoyed collecting guns and knives. Adam was quick witted and had a great sense of humor. One of his favorite sayings was "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get". Adam's greatest joy was his children, he loved them more than life itself.

Adam was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Roy C. and Pauline VanHuss; his maternal grandparents John Albert "Bama" Mathews and Margie Woods; and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his parents Alie and R. C. VanHuss-Pound, VA; his wife Samantha Van Huss-Greeneville, S.C.; his children Chloe

VanHuss-Wise, VA, Isiaha Mickles-Wise, VA, Jackson VanHuss-Pound, VA and Lyric VanHuss-Pound, VA; a grandchild Remi;

a sister Danielle Bellamy and husband Jeff-Texas; a half-sister Lynette Collins-Cosby, TN; half-brothers Ray Long-Seymour, TN and Jimmy Degeer-Nashville, TN; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Memorial services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday April 18, 2026, in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eva Murphy

officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am until time of services.
